Artist/Author/Teacher
Art, for me, is more than just creation—it's a way of connecting, a shared language where everyone has a place. My journey as a mixed media artist and textile designer has always been guided by the belief that creativity is universal, an essential part of what it means to be human.

I began my formal art education at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Westminster College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Communications. There, I developed a strong foundation in design, which eventually led me to pursue an Art Education degree and certification at Carlow University. This educational journey inspired me to combine my passions for art and teaching, ensuring everyone has access to the transformative power of creativity.

Inclusivity has been at the heart of my career. For six years, I served as a Team Leader in a creative day program, empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to express themselves through art. Later, I co-founded and now direct Studio Forget-Me-Not in Carnegie, PA—a vibrant community space where creativity thrives, and people who are neurodivergent are welcomed to explore and grow.

While I’ve dedicated much of my work to fostering inclusive artistic spaces, my personal artistic journey is rooted in textile design, inspired by the craftsmanship of my mother and grandmothers. I am drawn to the interplay of color, pattern, and texture—creating meaningful designs that merge tradition with a modern sensibility. My love of jewelry making further enhances my work, allowing me to craft complete kitschy outfits for the “not basic” among us—bold, playful pieces that celebrate individuality and creativity.

It’s my dream to one day open a shop filled with my designs—handmade dresses, jewelry, and home goods infused with a kitschy, mid-century modern aesthetic. I envision this space as a joyful celebration of creativity, where art and design are accessible and bring people together.
The business side of art—branding, merchandising, and selling my work—has been a rewarding learning experience. However, my guiding principle remains unchanged: art is for everyone. Every stitch I sew and every piece I create carries this belief.

I am grateful to share my artistic journey and my vision for moments in time where creativity is a bridge that connects us all.
